Welcome to Hartville!

Surrounded by both farms and the rural greenery of Northeastern Ohio, the village of Hartville is a sought-after tourist spot. Famous for it's antique shops, restaurants and historical district, Hartville is a thriving small community, situated with convenient access to great cities like Canton, Akron and Cleveland, yet just a short drive from Ohio's famous Amish country.

Founded as a largely Mennonite community in 1851, Hartville has enjoyed prosperity and peacefulness due in part to the work ethic and moral committment of it's founders and successive generations of Ohioans. With major businesses and small town shops, Hartville is the center of activity for nearly 2300 residents, and thousands of weekend visitors.

Hartville boasts several parks, two B&Bs, restaurants (including the well-known Hartville Kitchen) and shops (including the huge Hartville Flea Market and Market Place, one of the largest indoor/outdoor markets in northeast Ohio). Come to shop, dine and walk our historic streets!

On behalf of the fine citizens of our friendly village, welcome and may God bless you!

Ed Tucker, Mayor
